Positive Reinforcement
When a student is observed doing something really well, he/she will receive one clothespin to put on his/her desk. Examples include working quietly, walking quietly in hallway, and using good manners. At the end of each day, students will turn in their clothespins for Skittles, M&M's, or other candy for their wonderful behavior. The students will start over at the beginning of each day. This positive reinforcement will continue throughout the year.
Treasure Box
If your child does not lose any smiles for the week, he/she will be able to get into the classroom treasure box each Friday.
- Follow directions.
- Respect others.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Walk in the hallway quietly.
- Work carefully and quietly in the classroom.
Consequences for breaking a class rule
- Verbal warning is given before first check.
- 1st offense: first star lost – lose 5 minutes of recess.
- 2nd offense: second star lost – lose 10 minutes of recess.
- 3rd offense: third star lost – lose 15 minutes of recess.
- 4th offense: Sent to buddy teacher and parents notified.
- 5th offense: Sent to the office and parents notified.

- Lots and lots of praise
- Stickers or stamps
- Treasure Box
- Extra playtime
- Special treats
- Extra game time
